IMMERSIVE EVENTS - A CASE STUDY
THE BRIEF
A global organisation was planning an annual week-long summit. The primary purpose was to build a community focused on identifying, promoting and supporting excellence across its engineering teams. Our client wanted to elevate their proposed event into a dynamic and memorable experience for all attendees. They approached chronyko to augment their own event planning and delivery teams, to transform the week into an immersive experience.
OUR SOLUTION
At its heart the summit was a business conference where participants shared insights, delivered impactful talks, and exchanged knowledge. Over 100 people attended, from all over the world. Surrounding this core were immersive activities designed to deepen engagement, foster connections, and reinforce the summit’s central theme of unity.
Set around Rotherhithe and Limehouse in London, we wove together the area’s rich engineering and industrial history to combine the teams' software engineering background with historic Victorian innovation. We set out to create unique experiences to bring key conference moments to life and provide a thought provoking encounters. There were immersive characters to engage with, scavenger hunts, open-world exploration, gamification, construction challenges and escape-game-style scenarios. Participants became part of a larger narrative, stepping into the lives of characters inspired by local history and solving challenges through collaboration and creativity.
OUTCOMES
Feedback from participants highlighted that the blend of structured business discussions and immersive adventures fostered stronger connections among attendees. They reported leaving the summit feeling inspired and united. Leaders saw greater collaboration, creative problem-solving, and a deeper alignment with organisational goals. By integrating immersive experiences with conference content, chronyko created a summit that participants will talk about for years to come.
